Food should be fun. Food shouldn’t be thought of in terms of dieting or going without.

We’ve heard it all.. everything in moderation, eat a rainbow, you are what you eat, and so on. I’ll admit that over the years I’ve tried a lot of the advice given by health professionals and some of it even worked. For a while. But I’m a firm believer that we all need to find what works for us. Not as a whole, but as an individual.

Myself? I believe in the 80:20 rule. I eat well 80% of the time, and indulge every so often without guilt, (up to) 20% of the time. Anything else and I feel deprived and am more prone to an unhealthy diet that leaves me bloated and sluggish. I also believe in eating a variety of foods and try to avoid eating too much of one thing too many days in a row. Oh, and medical issues dictate I eat gluten-free. But that’s me and that’s what works for me.

So here you’ll find recipes that are all gluten-free but in a mix of healthy and not-so-healthy.
